Tuna and Sweetcorn Pasta Bake

Ingredients

  • Tinned tuna in springwater425 g
  • Pasta shapes400 g
  • Tinned sweetcorn400 g
  • Milk500 ml
  • Plain flour40 g
  • Butter40 g
  • Grated tasty cheese150 g
  • Brown onion150 g

Method

  1. Heat the oven to 200C and cook the pasta 2 minutes short of al dente. Drain.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan, cook the finely diced onion for 5 minutes, then stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Gradually whisk in the milk and cook until the sauce thickens. Stir in two thirds of the cheese and season well.
  4. Fold through the pasta, drained tuna and drained sweetcorn, then tip into a baking dish.
  5. Scatter over the remaining cheese and bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbling and golden.
