Ingredients

  • Popping corn120 g
  • Vegetable oil30 ml

Method

  1. Put the oil and three kernels into a large pot with a tight lid and set it over medium-high heat.
  2. When those three kernels pop the oil is hot enough — tip in the rest and put the lid back on.
  3. Shake the pot every few seconds so the popped corn lifts off the base and does not scorch.
  4. Take the pot off the heat when the pops slow to one every few seconds; waiting for the last kernel burns the batch.
  5. Season lightly while it is still hot, cool completely, and only then put it in a container — warm popcorn steams itself soft.
