A high protein chocolate mousse made by blending cottage cheese, cacao, maple syrup and vanilla until smooth.

Ingredients

fat-free cottage cheese220 g
cacao powder20 g
maple syrup30 ml
vanilla extract5 ml
dark chocolate — optional, for the topping20 g

Method

Put the cottage cheese, cacao powder, maple syrup and vanilla extract into a blender and blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed. This takes about 45 seconds.
Pour into serving glasses.
For the optional topping, melt the dark chocolate and drizzle a thin layer over the mousse. Refrigerate until set.
